DIRECTOR DEALINGS: UBS Buys Shares On Behalf Of Barclays Non-Exec

(Alliance News) - Barclays PLC on Tuesday said UBS Private Wealth Management bought just over 900,000 shares on behalf of Non-Executive Director Dawn Fitzpatrick.

UBS Private Wealth Management, on behalf of Fitzpatrick, bought 909,000 shares over two transactions on Monday at an average price of 170.48 pence.

The combined transaction was worth GBP1.5 million.

Shares in the London-listed lender closed up 0.6% at 171.49p each on Tuesday.

Fitzpatrick, investment chief at Soros Fund Management, was hired last month to the Barclays board. Before working at Soros Fund Management, she spent 25 years at UBS Group AG, including as head of investments at UBS Asset Management.
