Director dealings: DMGT chairman lowers stake

(Sharecast News) - Daily Mail And General Trust revealed on Monday that chairman Lord Rothermere had offloaded 50,364 ordinary shares in the London-listed media and events company.
Rothermere, who inherited the newspaper and media empire from his great-grandfather, sold the shares on Friday at an average price of 700.0p each, for a total value of £352,548.

Back in May, DMGT said it would review future dividends based on trading and the economy after increasing its interim payout.

The group raised its dividend for the six months to the end of March to 7.5p from 7.3p - an increase of 3%. DMGT said this was based on performance in the first half.

As of 1630 BST, DMGT shares were up 1.58% at 706p.
