Digital Barriers bags Asia Pacific video management contract

Surveillance technologies group Digital Barriers said it has sold its first video management solution into a major public transportation network, with an initial contract worth 0.75m pounds, from a flagship Asia Pacific government customer. Digital Barriers, which provides surveillance technologies to international homeland and defence markets, said the contract is expected to be fulfilled during the course of this financial year and next and lead to follow-on orders with the same customer. "The contract represents a significant early reference for the group's newly launched video management capabilities within the transportation sector," the AIM-listed firm explained.The group also announced it has secured a paid trial of its TVI video surveillance hardware with a significant new government customer in the Middle East. Products for the trial will be delivered this financial year. "This is further evidence that we have the solutions, channels and credibility to continue to extend our reach and deliver very strong year-on-year international growth," said Executive Chairman Tom Black.
