(Alliance News) - Homeserve PLC on Friday confirmed incoming chief executive of the Europe, Middle East & Africa regions Ross Clemmow is due to start on March 22.
The Walsall, England-based home repairs and improvements company said Clemmow, who was hired for the role back in November, will also be appointed director of the company on the same date.
"His arrival creates additional management bandwidth to deliver transformation, growth and digitisation across European Membership, and frees up Tom Rusin to capitalise on our considerable opportunities in North America," Founder & Chief Executive Richard Harpin said in November.
In 2019, Clemmow became chief executive of online sports retailer WiggleCRC and managing director within the operational support group of private equity investor Bridgepoint Advisers Ltd, where he was responsible for improving digital capability across Bridgepoint's portfolio.
Homeserve said in November the hiring of Clemmow frees up Tom Rusin, global CEO of Membership, to take on an expanded US-based role as CEO of the North American region.
The company announced in January that it had hired former DCC PLC chief executive Tommy Breen as a non-executive director and chair-designate, to succeed Barry Gibson.
Gibson has been chair of Homeserve since 2010 and was hired for one final term in April 2019.
Breen was CEO of support services group DCC until 2017. He said on Friday he is retiring as senior independent director of plastics and fibre products manufacturer Essentra PLC in order to commit more time to his roles as Homeserve PLC board director & chair, the latter of which he will become on May 19.
Shares in Homeserve were down 1.0% at 1,067.00 pence in London on Friday.
