China-US relation can not be messed up, China's Xi says

BEIJING, May ​14 (Reuters) - ⁠The relationship ​between China and the U.S. ​is ‌the most ⁠important bilateral relationship in ⁠the world ​today and we "must make it work ​and ‌never mess it up," China's President Xi Jinping ​said on ‌Thursday.

Xi made the remarks in a ‌toast at a state banquet he ​was hosting for visiting U.S. ‌President Donald Trump, adding that the "rejuvenation of ⁠China" ⁠and "Make America ‌Great Again" can go hand ​in ​hand. (Reporting ‌by Trevor Hunnicutt and Beijing newsroom, Editing by Louise Heavens)
