Chile's Collahuasi copper mine names new CEO

SANTIAGO, June ​3 (Reuters) - ⁠Chile's Collahuasi ​copper mine, one of ​the ‌largest in ⁠the world, named ⁠Patricio ​Hidalgo as its new CEO starting July ​1, ‌the company said in a statement ​on Wednesday.

Hidalgo will ‌be replacing Jorge Gomez. Collahuasi ‌is jointly owned by Anglo American and ​Glencore, each holding 44% of ‌the company.

A group of Japanese ⁠companies ⁠headed by ‌Mitsui & Co. Ltd. owns ​the ​remaining ‌12%. (Reporting by Fabian Cambero; Editing by Aida Pelaez-Fernandez)
