Bunzl Adds Former Kellogg, Colgate-Palmolive Exec Maria Mejia To Board

(Alliance News) - FTSE 100 distribution and services firm Bunzl PLC on Tuesday said it has hired Maria Mejia as a non-executive director effective from Wednesday.

Mejia currently is a non-executive director of International Consolidated Airlines Group SA. She was a senior vice president at the Kellogg Co between 2011 and 2019 and president of Kellogg Latin America during the same period.

Bunzl added that Mejia held a number of positions at Colgate-Palmolive Co in the US, Latin America, Asia and Europe including vice president & general manager Global Personal Care & Fragrance Development and vice president marketing & innovation Europe and South Pacific.

"We are very pleased to welcome Maria Fernanda to our board. She has extensive knowledge and international experience of distribution and supply chain management with a strong background in marketing and communications," said Bunzl Chair Peter Ventress.

Shares in Bunzl were trading 0.7% higher at 2,455.00 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
