Builder Mountfield set to top expectations

A revival in the commercial office refurbishment market is set to boost building group Mountfield.The company, which designs and fits out IT data and centres and revamps commercial offices, forecast annual results above expectations after starting 2014 with more business than it had at the same time last year.It said its cash balance at the end of 2013 was substantially better than a year earlier and its order book was extensive, with other contracts under negotiation.Chief Executive Graham Read said business was coming from new as well as existing customers."The board is satisfied that the revival in the construction industry has strong foundations and is developing its operations accordingly," he said.PW
