Wed, 06th Apr 2016 10:15

LONDON (Alliance News) - Botswana Diamonds PLC on Wednesday said the 2016 drill programme has commenced.

The diamond exploration and development company said the first large diameter reverse circulation hole on kimberlite AK21 on PL 260 in Orapa started on Tuesday. The target depth is 300 metres.

The first of three narrow diamond drill holes will commence this week on the same licence.

Following the completion of the holes, the diamond drill rig will move to PL 210 on Orapa to drill two or three holes targeting the potential source of kimberlitic indicator minerals, Botswana Diamonds said.

Shares in Botswana Diamonds were untraded on Wednesday, last quoted at 0.915 pence.
