BMR Signs Land And Equipment Lease Deal For Kabwe Treatment Project

Mon, 28th Sep 2015 09:10

LONDON (Alliance News) - BMR Mining PLC on Monday said it has signed a land and equipment lease agreement with Sable Zinc Kabwe Ltd, in respect of land and certain key items of equipment for BMR's Kabwe tailings treatment project in Zambia.

Sable Zinc Kabwe is a unit of Glencore PLC, the FTSE 100-listed multi-commodities miner and trading house.

The agreement will see BMR sign a USD1,000 per month lease for the land and equipment it needs for its proposed plant.

"This is a particularly valuable agreement for BMR as it provides us with access to prime space for our pilot plant and access to good quality equipment which we would otherwise have had to purchase, and most likely transport to Kabwe," said BMR Chairman Alex Borrelli.

Shares in BMR were flat at 4.00 pence on Monday morning.
