Berkeley Declares Interim Dividend As Part Of Shareholder Return

Thu, 25th Feb 2021 09:19

(Alliance News) - Berkeley Group Holdings PLC on Thursday set GBP140.6 million as the target under its shareholder returns programme for the first half of its financial year.

For the six months to the end of March, GBP129.3 million of the shareholder return will be satisfied through share buybacks, and the remaining GBP11.2 million to be achieved through dividend payouts.

The FTSE 100 housebuilder said that 122.9 million shares are eligible for a payout, and thus will pay an interim dividend of 9.13 pence per share on March 19.

Looking ahead, Berkeley said that the next GBP140.6 million shareholder return will be provided by September 30, through a combination of dividends and share buybacks.

Shares in Berkeley Group were down 2.7% at 4,200.00 pence on Thursday in London.
