Aquarius Platinum Reports Fatal Accident At Mimosa Mine In Zimbabwe

LONDON (Alliance News) - Aquarius Platinum Ltd on Tuesday said a fatal accident occurred at the Mimosa platinum mine in Zimbabwe on Monday.

The company said a worker, employed by the Mimosa Platinum Ltd joint venture, was killed when working underground. No other injuries were reported.

"The Aquarius board and management express their sincere condolences to the family of the deceased. The name of the deceased is being withheld until the next of kin have been informed," the company said in a statement.

Aquarius said the relevant regulatory authorities have been informed about the incident, and a full investigation has been launched. Aquarius didn't say whether production had been affected.

Aquarius shares were trading flat at 11.25 pence on Tuesday morning.
