Tue, 23rd Feb 2016 07:53

LONDON (Alliance News) - Amec Foster Wheeler PLC said on Tuesday it had been awarded a contract by the US Army Corps of Engineers worth USD183.0 million.

The engineering services group said the contract is for the construction of mission critical facilities, including launcher foundations, apron and crane pads, power plant facilities and warehouses on the Redzikowo Base in Poland.

Amec Foster will be providing the facilities for the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System, which aims to boost land-based missile defence capabilities for NATO allies in the Eastern Europe missile defence strategy.
