IN BRIEF: Lindsell Train Investment Trust taps Roger Lambert as chair

Lindsell Train Investment Trust PLC - provides access to investments of fund manager Lindsell Train Ltd, founded by Michael Lindsell and Nick Train - Picks Director Roger Lambert to replace Julian Cazalet as chair from January 1. Lambert was a non-executive director of Young & Co.'s Brewery PLC where he was senior independent director. Cazalet had announced earlier this year he was stepping down as chair after eight years with the company. "The board would like to express its appreciation for Julian's contributions over his eight years as chairman. The company has greatly benefited from his leadership, experience and great knowledge of the sector," the trust says.

LONDON, March 15 (Reuters) - Britain's finance minister Jeremy Hunt offered some help to pubs on Wednesday by increasing "draught relief", making the rate of duty on draught beer and cider up to 11 pence lower than the charge on cans or bottles bought in a supermarket from August.
