Xaar dropped after the Cambridge based inkjet printing technology firm said trading for the six months ended 30 June was in line with expectations but behind the first half of last year."Whilst the board is encouraged by trading volumes in the period, the continuing lack of visibility and uncertainty in the economic environment means that the board still remains cautious when looking forward," the group added.Revenue for the six months period was about £20.9m (six months to 30 June 2008: £22.5m; six months to 31 December 2008: £19.5m), while adjusted pre-tax profit was approximately £1.3m (six months to 30 June 2008: £4.0m; six months to 31 December 2008: loss of £0.2m).Life sciences firm BTG said it has made good progress in the year to date and integration of the Protherics business continues to progress well. BTG said it is on track to achieve the planned £10m reduction in general & administrative expenses and £10m reduction in research & development expenses by the end of the 2010/2011 financial year. "BTG's business is making good progress on all fronts.
