(Alliance News) - W Resources PLC on Wednesday said it has hired 1.8% shareholder Oscar Marin Garcia as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
Garcia is currently CEO of Spanish supermarket business Lider Aliment SA, which he co-founded. He was previously regional finance director for the western Europe division of Procter & Gamble in Geneva, Switzerland.
"We are delighted to have Oscar Marin Garcia join the board. He will contribute strongly to our growth and success, in particular in further strengthening our relations with key stakeholders in Spain and in the Extremadura region," said W Resources Chair Michael Masterman.
Shares in the tungsten, tin and gold mining company were down 1.6% at 0.30 pence per share at midday on Wednesday in London.
