Oil services company Wood Group has won a contract of undisclosed value to maintain gas turbines on North Sea oil projects.Wood said its GTS business had secured a "multi-million dollar" five-year contract from Talisman Sinopec Energy UK to service 22 Siemens Ruston gas turbines on the Buchan, Clyde, Tartan and Flotta installations. The deal starts next month.It follows a 10-year turbine fleet maintenance contract between the two companies which ends this year.Iain Murray of Wood Group GTS said: "This is a very positive step in strengthening our long-term relationship with Talisman Sinopec Energy UK."Talisman Sinopec Energy UK was created in 2012 as a joint venture between Talisman Energy and Addax Petroleum UK, a wholly owned subsidiary of the China Petroleum Corporation, or Sinopec Group.
