LONDON (Alliance News) - Vodafone Group PLC Tuesday said it has entered a partner market agreement with Rogers Communications in Canada, a non-equity deal that means that Rogers becomes the British company's exclusive partner in Canada.
Vodafone said the partners will explore new business opportunities and offer customers a range of products and services, including 4G roaming services.
Vodafone said that its multinational customers will benefit from the addition of Canada to their existing contracts for international managed services, while Rogers will be able to benefit from Vodafone's expertise in 4G mobile broadband networks.
"We are delighted that Rogers has joined our successful Partner Markets community. Canada is an important market as we continuously expand our roaming capabilities across North America," Chief Executive Vittorio Colao said in a statement.
Vodafone shares were down 0.7% to 207.594 pence on Tuesday.
