LONDON (Alliance News) - Vodafone Group PLC on Monday said Chief Commercial Operations & Strategy Officer Paolo Bertoluzzo is leaving the company in order to take up a new role in Italy.
Bertoluzzo will leave Vodafone on July 8 to become chief executive of financial and payment services company ICBPI.
Bertoluzzo joined Vodafone Italy in 1999 as strategy & business development director. He subsequently held various senior positions before becoming CEO of Vodafone Italy in 2008. He then joined Vodafone's executive committee in 2012 as regional CEO for Southern Europe. In 2013 he was appointed to his current position.
Vodafone said it will announce Bertoluzzo's successor in due course.
Shares in Vodafone closed down 0.8% at 227.21 pence on Monday.
