U.S. stocks opened higher on Wednesday as optimism grew thata resolution would be reached between Ukraine and Russia, withinvestors also looking ahead to data on factory orders. The DowJones industrial average was up 0.46 percent at17,146.16, the S&P 500 was up 0.27 percent at 2,007.67and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.24 percent at 4,609.34.
** DELTA AIRLINES INC, $38.75, -5.33 pct
The airline operator cut its third quarter passenger unitrevenue growth forecast to up to 3 percent from up to 4 percent.Delta's passenger unit revenue rose 2 percent in August and 3percent in July.
Up to Tuesday's close, the stock had more than doubled invalue in the past 12 months, while the S&P 500 index hadrisen 22 percent.
** INFINITY PHARMACEUTICALS INC, $15.3, +40.11 pct
The drug developer entered into a deal with AbbVie Inc to develop cancer drug duvelisib, codenamed IPI-145,for which it will get upfront payment of $275 million and up to$530 million in milestone payments.
Infinity also signed an agreement with Roche Holding AG to test Roche's cancer drug Gazyva, or obinutuzumab, incombination with its experimental cancer drugs.
** CDW CORP, $31.94, -3.62 pct
The technology products retailer said shareholders,including the company's chief financial officer, will offer 15million shares.

The stock had risen nearly 42 percent this year, up toTuesday's close.
** NOBLE CORP PLC, $28.14, +2.44 pct
Hedge fund Fir Tree Partners reported on Wednesday that ithad raised stake in the offshore drilling contractor's companyto 9.6 percent as of Aug. 27. Fir Tree, which previously owned5.7 percent of Noble, said without any "significant" change inNoble Corp's capital allocation policies, shares may continue toremain undervalued.
** CHINA MOBILE LTD, $64.22, +2.93 pct
The Chinese state-owned telecommunications company onTuesday began taking preorders for Apple Inc's iPhone 6in Beijing, ahead of an official launch on Sept. 9, according toappleinsider.com, citing a Chinese newspaper (http://bit.ly/Z6UgZ3)
As of Tuesday, the company had received more than 33,000orders for the 4.7 inch and the 5.5 inch versions of iPhone 6,the report said.

** TETRAPHASE PHARMACEUTICALS INC, $14.75, +12.77pct
The drugmaker's experimental drug to treat complicatedurinary tract infection was successful in late-stage study. Thedrug in two doses was found more effective than levofloxacin, anantibiotic usually prescribed for the condition.
JMP Securities raised its price target on stock to $20 from$16. The median price target on stock is $20.50.
** TOLL BROTHERS INC, $34.84, -2.22 pct
The largest U.S. luxury homebuilder's quarterly income morethan doubled as it sold more homes at higher prices.

The personal care products and houseware maker lowered itsfull-year profit and revenue forecast, citing recent retailweakness.
