Broadcast technology supplier Vislink says that it will report a first half loss. Revenues will be 13% lower at £34m in the six months to June 2010. Full year revenues are expected to be around £85m. Broadcasters are delaying spending and there has even been a downturn in the marine CCTV business. Order inflow is lower. Vislink is cutting £3.5m from annualised costs. There was a sharp cash outflow in the first half with a net cash figure of £600,000 at the end of 2009 turning into net debt of £3.1m at the end of June 2010. There was a more positive trading statement from LED lighting company Dialight, which says that it expects to exceed earnings expectations for 2010. There was a strong first half performance from the indication components, thanks to restocking by customers, and the signals/illumination division, which is supplying lighting for contracts won last year. The interim figures will be published on 26 July 2010.
