UniVision Engineering receives wind up petition from E-Star

Thu, 14th Sep 2023 12:01

(Alliance News) - UniVision Engineering Ltd on Thursday said it intends to defend itself against a wind up petition brought about by one of its subcontractors, E-Star Engineering Co.

UniVision Engineering is a Hong Kong-based company that supplies, designs, installs and maintains closed-circuit television and surveillance systems, and also sells security-related products.

It said it has received a petition from one of its subcontractors, E-Star Engineering Co, in the High Court in Hong Kong. It is regarding outstanding debt owed by the company of HK1.9 million, about GBP194,473.

The date of the court hearing has been set for November 15.

"The company will negotiate with E-Star and intends to defend and oppose the petition," UniVision said.

In August, UniVision said it had received a wind up petition from a supplier for outstanding debt of HKD11.5 million.

The petition was brought by one of its suppliers, Synnex Technology International (HK) Ltd, in the High Court in Hong Kong.

The date of the court hearing has been set for October 10 and it continues to negotiate with Synnex and intends to defend and oppose the petition.
