(Alliance News) - Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust PLC on Tuesday said it is closing its placing programme early and with immediate effect.
The programme, which gives the trust the ability to issue as many as 250 million new shares, had an original closing date of October 2.
However, given that Baillie Gifford US Growth can also issue shares through a tap, and that the company still has capacity available under its tap authority, "there is no practicable need for the placing programme to be kept open until its final date".
Shares in Bailie Gifford US Growth closed down 0.3% at 149.00 pence on Tuesday.
