Alien Metals Ltd - London-based exploration company focused on Australia, Mexico and Greenland - Says a series smaller samples taken from a bulk sample for the Hancock iron ore project in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia have returned high-grade results. The average grade from the samples was 62% iron, with low levels of impurities. Says the sampling indicates that the high-grade material commences from less than 1 metre below surface.
"We have continued to fast track this excellent project and, in conjunction with the recent third phase of drilling programme, we took the opportunity to excavate a significant bulk sample to advance the mine development side of the workstreams. The high-grade nature of these results demonstrate the quality of the project and continue to give us great confidence in the planning and development process we are progressing," Chief Executive & Technical Director Bill Good says.
