LONDON (Alliance News) - U & I Group PLC said Tuesday it secured planning approval for the development of its Hendy Wind Farm in Wales.
The property regeneration company said the wind farm will support the delivery of its GBP5 million to GBP7 million development and trading gains target.
Chief Executive Officer Matthew Weiner said: "Having exchanged on Bryn Blaen Wind Farm earlier in the year, we have now secured planning permission to build out Hendy Wind Farm.
"Although wind farms are not a core part of our strategy, this has provided an opportunity to use our expertise in securing planning and creating value through building out the wind farm, to deliver on our full-year gains target."
U & I shares were trading down 0.7% at 222.50 pence each.
