Trackwise Designs Secures First Order For Improved Harness Technology

(Alliance News) - Trackwise Designs PLC on Monday said it has secured its first production order for its flexible printed circuit technology, Improved Harness Technology.

The AIM-stock was 15% higher in London at 105.00 pence a share in morning trade.

Improved Harness Technology is being used for both high-voltage and low-voltage circuits in the vehicles' batteries, reducing the part count and assembly time while saving on space and weight.

The Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire-based electronic parts supplier said the order is expected to be delivered in 2020 and is worth GBP600,000.

Trackwise said the order follows development activities last year for an undisclosed UK-based designer & manufacturer of electric vehicles.

"The electric vehicle industry is one of a number of growth markets for Trackwise, and we are delighted to have been selected by an innovator in the field. Following successful development work last year, we are pleased to receive our first start of production order for Improved Harness Technology, the next step towards series production of Improved Harness Technology at scale," said Chief Executive Philip Johnston.
