Thu, 03rd Mar 2011 15:28

Online gambling firm PartyGaming is the best performer on the FTSE 250 after 2010 revenues rose by 15%, after casino games, bingo and sports betting offset weakness from the company's poker operations.Cobham was also higher despite statutory pre-tax profits for 2010 falling to £189m, from £245m, hurt by delays in orders in the US. Revenues edged up to £1.8bn, from £1.75bn.Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey returned to profit in 2010 and has made a positive start to the current year with prices up in some places, sending shares up.Kitchen supplier Howden Joinery topped full year market expectations with a 47% increase in profit, but the market was underwhelmed and shares drifted into the red.Shares in broadcaster ITV are edging into the red the same day that the UK government approved News Corp's bid for BSkyB. News Corp rival Daily Mail and General Trust is also under the weather.Retailers Home Retail Group and JD Sport Fashion also lower.FTSE 250 - RisersPartyGaming (PRTY) 186.10p +6.34%Inchcape (INCH) 405.60p +5.90%Cobham (COB) 221.00p +5.79%Renishaw (RSW) 1,675.00p +5.02%Taylor Wimpey (TW.) 40.91p +4.90%Imagination Technologies Group (IMG) 451.90p +4.85%Elementis (ELM) 149.10p +4.41%Cookson Group (CKSN) 698.50p +3.79%Ashtead Group (AHT) 182.00p +3.70%Devro (DVO) 278.90p +3.68%FTSE 250 - FallersHansen Transmissions International NV (DI) (HSN) 40.17p -4.88%Home Retail Group (HOME) 208.30p -3.43%Marston's (MARS) 93.90p -3.15%ITV (ITV) 90.70p -2.94%Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) 542.00p -2.78%Exillon Energy (EXI) 442.20p -2.73%JD Sports Fashion (JD.) 891.00p -2.62%Howden Joinery Group (HWDN) 113.00p -2.59%Ocado Group (OCDO) 208.60p -2.52%Micro Focus International Plc (MCRO) 303.90p -2.47%
