Gearbox designer Torotrak has had a rollercoaster ride today and trades down 12% near the end of the session despite narrowing full-year losses. The annual deficit closed to £1.9m from £2.3m last year on turnover up to £4.6m from £3.6m before. But worries about the impact of the recession on the motor trade unsettled the shares. The group said despite the tough economic environment, it has succeeded in gaining more customers, strengthening its financial resources and delivering a strong forward order book. "Whilst it is difficult to predict precisely when future agreements with new customers may be reached, I am confident that our discussions with other prospective customers will, in time, result in further opportunities to build value for Torotrak shareholders," it said.FTSE TechMARK - RisersPhoenix IT Group (PNX) 158.00p +8.22%KCOM Group (KCOM) 27.50p +6.80%AEA Technology (AAT) 17.00p +6.25%Puricore (PURI) 12.25p +4.26%Psion (PON) 63.50p +2.83%Indigo Vision (IND) 420.00p +2.44%Intec Telecom (ITL) 65.25p +1.95%Optos (OPTS) 53.00p +1.92%Trafficmaster (TFC) 31.00p +1.64%Axis-Shield (ASD) 296.00p +1.02%FTSE TechMARK - FallersInion (IIN) 0.75p -33.63%Torotrak (TRK) 31.50p -11.89%Alizyme (AZM) 6.00p -7.69%Biocompatibles International (BII) 162.00p -4.71%Electronic Data Processing (EDP) 45.50p -4.21%Oxford Biomedica (OXB) 9.60p -4.00%Kofax (KFX) 121.00p -3.20%E2V Technologies (E2V) 88.00p -2.76%Imagination Technologies (IMG) 96.50p -2.53%Redstone (RED) 10.25p -2.38%
