Multimedia group Ten Alps said annual pre-tax profit was little changed as it beefed up its Asian presence and the recession hit advertising.The group, which has operations in Singapore and Beijing, said pre-tax profit fell to £3.2m for the financial year to 31 March 2010 from £3.3m in 2009. Revenue dropped to £66.1m during the year from £80.2m previously. EBITDA fell to £5.2m from £5.9m.Cash balance at the year end fell to £6.7m from £13.1m before while debt reduced to £12m from £14.5m and was further reduced by £2.5m in April 2010.Chief executive Alex Connock, "By improving margins and migrating online we delivered profits and reduced debt in 2009-10 - but clearly the business is not immune to recession.""Our multimedia model very much suits how media usage has evolved, and is now being excitingly replicated in Asia. Meanwhile we have reduced our cost base and developed a platform for future growth," he added.
