LONDON (Alliance News) - STM Group PLC on Monday said it appointed Duncan Crocker as non-executive chairman, with immediate effect.
The financial services provider said Crocker has spent his career in the UK financial services industry, having left full-time executive employment in 2014 following 37 years served across various leadership roles at Legal & General Group PLC.
Crocker was latterly managing director of Legal & General's UK intermediated housing/mortgage sector business.
Crocker has also served as an independent non-executive director at insurance company Zurich Intermediary Group Ltd and mortgage broker London & Country Mortgages Ltd.
"I am delighted to welcome Duncan as non-executive chairman of the board," said Interim Chairman Robin Ellison.
"His strong corporate governance ethic and experience in stakeholder engagement and management, along with his detailed understanding of the intermediary and customer focused journey will undoubtedly add further value to an already enhanced board," added Ellison.
Shares in STM were trading 2.1% lower on Monday at 70.00 pence each.
