TRADING UPDATES: Steppe Cement revenue up; H&T raises GBP16.9 million

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued last Friday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Xtract Resources PLC - Australia, Mozambique and Zambia-focused gold producer, exploration and development company - Total mining contractor gold production for the quarter to June 30 amounts to 54.15 kilogrammes, equivalent to roughly 1,344 ounces. Achieves gold sales of 465 ounces in the period and records revenue of USD642,115. The results for the June quarter are fairly consistent with previous quarters with Guy Fawkes slowly opening up areas for production. Fair Bride is now in production and teething problems of the plant and the mine are being reduced and eliminated. "We anticipate gold production will increase significantly in the final quarter of this year," Executive Chair Colin Bird comments.

H&T Group PLC - Surrey, England-based pawnbroker - Raises gross proceeds of GBP16.9 million through a placing and retail offer. Says it placed 3.9 million shares at 425 pence and that retail investors have subscribed for a total of 61,357 new shares at the same price. Shore Capital acted as sole broker and bookrunner for the placing. The placing shares and retail shares represent roughly 10% of its issued share capital.

Deltic Energy PLC - AIM-listed natural resources investing company - Raises GBP960,000 in an open offer. Says it received valid acceptances from qualifying shareholders for 27.4 million open offer shares. Raises a total of GBP16.0 million via a placing, subscription and open offer.

Steppe Cement Ltd - Kazakhstan-focused construction materials firm - Registers third quarter revenue of KZT13.1 million, or GBP24,996, 9% higher than revenue of KZT12.0 million the previous year. For the 9 months ended 30 September 2022, it records revenue of KZT32.7 million versus KZT28.8 million year-on-year. Explains that 2% higher sales volume of 546,357 tonnes were achieved during the quarter.

Beowulf Mining PLC - natural resource developer and explorer focused on the Nordic region - Identifies 13 highly conductive electromagnetic zones at its Raapysjarvi flake graphite prospect. Says isolated zones are extending for up to 850 metres strike length and 250 meters width. Says six holes drilled in the 1980s have also been resampled and reassayed. "The encouraging exploration data set indicates significant potential for natural flake graphite mineralisation suitable for graphite anodes across Raapysjarvi," the company states.

Netcall PLC - Bedford-based customer engagement software provider - Issues an early redemption notice to redeem the final GBP2.9 million of its original GBP7.0 million loan note held by BGF Nominees Ltd. The final redemption payment of GBP2.9 million will be paid on October 14. The Company will be debt-free from that date.

Starcrest Education Ltd - developer and operator of education services in Europe - Appoints Nick Petford to the board as executive director and chief academic officer from October 1. He is managing director of APSC-Ltd, a consultancy that provides advice to the UK and overseas university sector. Until July 31, he was vice-chancellor and chief executive officer at the University of Northampton.

Voyager Life PLC - Perth, Scotland-based supplier of cannabidiol and hemp seed oil products - Notes press speculation about a potential acquisition under board consideration. Says that it has been examining potential consolidation and partnership opportunities. Adds that it has received "several enquiries" but also is exploring other opportunities "of which it is aware." Requests that its shares are temporarily suspended on the AQSE Growth Market, pending finalisation of its acquisition discussions and says trading will now be restored.

SuperSeed Capital Ltd - venture capital for early-stage business-to-business technology companies in UK - Says its primary holding, SuperSeed Fund II, has led a GBP1.3million Seed funding round into Finteum Ltd, a London fintech start-up. The funds raised will enable Finteum to expand functionality and bring many more banking clients on board the platform.

Inland Homes PLC - Buckinghamshire, England-based housing plot developer - Gets a waiver from its lender for its revolving credit facility on the interest cover ratio covenant for the year, which ended June 30. Agrees to an extension to its facility to October 2023 from March 2023. Completes two land sales to "major housebuilders." The net sale proceeds from the land disposals amount to GBP9.0 million.

Xeros Technology Group PLC - Rotherham, England-based environmental technology firm - Raises gross proceeds of approximately GBP6.0 million, through the placing of 120,000,000 shares at the issue price of 5 pence per ordinary share. Intends to provide all qualifying shareholders with the opportunity to subscribe for a total of 20.4 million open offer shares at the same price.

Gelion PLC - Sydney-based battery cell developer - Establishes a pilot manufacturing plant at the lead-acid factory of its commercial partner Battery Energy Power Solutions Pty Ltd in Western Sydney, Australia. Says the plant was completed ahead of schedule with a 2-megawatt hours annual capacity. The first battery production run will be exported to Acciona Energia in Spain. Believes it is now strongly positioned to deliver on its commercialisation strategy.

Capital Metals PLC - London-based mineral sands explorer - Non-Executive Director James Leahy says during the annual general meeting that the company has received its first two industrial mining licences. Says it is in ongoing discussions with off-takers, debt providers and other strategic funding parties. Confirms parties include large pigment producers out of Asia. Plans to focus on finalsing these discussions.

British Honey Co PLC - Buckinghamshire, England-based producer of spirits, honey and jams - Announces a further delay to the publication of its final results and annual report for 2021. Anticipates that the audit opinion will be complete by mid-October 2022 and that its final results will be announced shortly thereafter. Its shares will remain suspended in the meantime.

Uru Metals Ltd - Toronto-based investor and mine project developer - Completes the disposal of its Zebediela nickel project located in Limpopo, South Africa to Zeb Nickel Corp. Says the project remains its primary focus, through its 75% interest in Zeb Nickel. Notes Zeb Nickel started drilling. Holds cash and cash equivalents of GBP360,000 as at September 30.
