(Alliance News) - Standard Life Aberdeen PLC on Monday said it has named Cecilia Reyes as a non-executive director, effective October 1.
She was formerly the chief risk officer at Zurich Insurance Group Ltd and was also its investment chief.
Reyes will join Standard Life's Risk & Capital Committee and its Remuneration Committee.
Standard Life Chair Douglas Flint said: "I am very pleased to welcome Reyes to our board. Her direct experience of risk management and in-depth knowledge of the investment process will be of great value to our discussions at both the board and the Risk & Capital Committee."
Shares in Standard Life closed 1.6% higher at 255.60 pence each in London on Monday.
