(Alliance News) - S4 Capital PLC on Wednesday said that its trading performance for 2021 was in line with market expectations, with gross profit and new revenue growth coming considerably ahead of prior company guidance.

Also on Wednesday, the London-based advertising and marketing agency announced the acquisition of data consultancy 4 Mile Analytics for an undisclosed sum, which will be merged with creative designer MediaMonks.

The acquisition is expected to expand the client base of MediaMonks, as well as increase its analytics capabilities.

For 2021, 4 Mile Analytics generated USD5.6 million in revenue, and is targeting a double up for 2022.

For the year, S4 Capital delivered strong like-for-like revenue, with net revenue growth ahead of the previous company guidance of 40%. Meanwhile, market consensus has gross profit coming in at GBP560 million for the year, up 89% from GBP295.2 million in 2020.

"We are excited about the growth opportunity ahead of us in 2022 and beyond, all incorporated into our fourth three year plan for 2022-24. Our budgets are set at 25% like-for-like gross profit/net revenue growth in line with that three year plan, which seeks to double the size of the company organically," said Executive Chair Martin Sorrell.

S4 Capital will publish its annual results on March 18.

Shares in S4 Capital were 5.7% higher at 560.00 pence on Wednesday in London.
