TETRA digital radios supplier Sepura reported a slightly lower profit in the year to March 2010. Management has also warned that the penetration of digital communications will be slower than originally projected. Revenues improved from £74.1m to £78.9m but gross margins declined. Even before non-recurring items, pre-tax profit fell from £12.5m to £9.38m. R&D costs were £1.26m higher. Sepura has decided to widen its product range by developing new products outside of the TETRA market. Phoenix IT has more than regained the loss in its share price after it announced its full year figures yesterday. The IT services firm reported an improvement in underlying pre-tax profit from £28.3m to £29.5m in the year to March 2010. Group revenues decreased, as expected, to £245.8m from £253.2m in 2009. Net debt was £67.9m. The order book rose 23% to £194.4m. Panmure Gordon increased its 2010-11 earnings forecast from 31.1p to 31.8p a share.
