(Alliance News) - Seplat Petroleum Development Co PLC on Wednesday said it has hired Olivier de Langavant as a non-executive director, replacing Michel Hochard.
The Nigerian oil & gas firm said de Langavant is now on the board as a nominee of major shareholder Maurel & Prom, following the retirement of Hochard as Maurel & Prom chief executive.
de Langavant has taken over the leadership role at Maurel & Prom from Hochard. He was previously senior vice president of operations in the Netherlands for oil & gas company Total Group SA.
Seplat shares closed 4.3% higher at 108.50 pence each on Wednesday in London.
