(Alliance News) - Seeing Machines Ltd on Thursday said it is working with Qualcomm Technologies Inc to deliver driver monitoring systems to the global automotive industry.

The monitoring systems provider said its technology will be used in the Snapdragon autonomous platform architecture and its acceleration hardware.

Seeing Machines explained automakers are looking to monitoring systems to help assure driver attentiveness on the road.

"We are delighted to be working with Qualcomm Technologies to deliver this optimised, cost-effective, infotainment integrated solution to our joint original equipment manufacturer customers," said Seeing Machines Automotive Senior Vice President Nick DiFiore.

"Our mission is to provide automakers with comprehensive solutions that offer immersive in-vehicle experiences, addressing the complexities of integrating multiple domains into digital cockpits. We believe an effective in-cabin and driver monitoring solution is paramount to predictive safety systems," added Qualcomm Technologies Product Management Senior Director Anshuman Saxena.
