SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Arrow Global Surges After Latest TDR Tilt

Mon, 08th Feb 2021 10:19

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Monday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Arrow Global Group, up 26% at 289.50 pence, 12-month range 60.00p-306.80p. TDR Capital said a fourth potential takeover offer for Arrow Global was accepted by the financial firm's founder and chief investment officer. TDR, a private equity firm, is offering 305 pence per share in cash, up from its most recent 290p per share offer, which had been rejected by Arrow's board back in January.

----------

Strategic Equity Capital, up 4.1% at 262.43 pence, 12-month range 112.28p-266.00p. The company has received a request from Ian Armitage and Jonathan Morgan, two shareholders with a combined 77% stake, to requisition a general meeting. The proposed resolutions relate to the continuation of the investment trust.

----------

Foxtons Group PLC, up 5.6% at 63.80 pence, 12-month range 27.00p-98.00p. The estate agent was on the up again, after rising 6.7% on Friday. On Friday, property portal Rightmove said it had its busiest ever January, with site visits surging as new buyers were undeterred by Covid-19 health crisis or the looming end to the UK stamp duty holiday at the end of March.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Capital & Regional, down 5.7% at 58.46p, 12-month range 32.30p-229.35p. The property investor gave back some of its 7.3% gains from Friday. Most of Capital & Regional's assets are in the leisure and retail markets, two sectors hit by Covid-19 restrictions.
