EXECUTIVE CHANGES: St Modwen taps CFO to replace Grainger-bound Hudson

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

St Modwen Properties PLC - Birmingham, England-based property investment and development business - Hires Rachel Kentleton as chief financial officer, starting August 6. Kentleton was finance director of PayPoint PLC and prior to this held senior positions at easyJet PLC. Kentleton also is a non-executive director of Trustpilot Group PLC and Persimmon PLC. St Modwen is due to be delisted on August 9 after shareholders approved GBP1.27 billion takeover by funds advised by Blackstone Group Inc.

Grainger PLC - Newcastle Upon Tyne, England-based residential landlord - Confirms starting date for Robert Hudson as new CFO will be August 31. Grainger back in February hired Hudson from St Modwen Properties, where he was chief finance & operations officer. Hudson will depart St Modwen on July 30.

Crest Nicholson Holdings PLC - Chertsey, Surrey-based housebuilder - Hires David Arnold as non-executive director, starting September 1. Arnold is chief financial officer of Dublin-based building materials distributor Grafton Group PLC.

Qinetiq Group PLC - Farnborough, Hampshire-based defence technology - Hires Larry Prior as independent non-executive director. Prior is an operating executive for private equity firm Carlyle Group, focused on the aerospace, defence and government services sectors.

Cohort PLC - Reading-based defence and security markets-focussed technology - Hires Beatrice Nicholas as non-executive director, starting September 1. Nicholas led the electronic warfare business of defence contractor Leonardo Spa and was group engineering director.

Miton UK MicroCap Trust PLC - invests in UK-listed companies with market capitalisations of less than GBP150 million - Bridget Guerin resigns as director, effective from July 31. Guerin joined the board only in December of last year, and at the time it was intended that she would take over from Andy Pomfret as chair at the annual general meeting in September. In a brief announcement, Trust gives no reason for Guerin's departure, but says it was her decision. "The directors thank her for her service," it says.

Prospex Energy PLC - investor in onshore and shallow offshore European gas and power projects - Shareholders at AGM reject re-appointment of James Smith as a director, with 58% of the votes against. Shareholders also vote 73% against resolutions to allow allotment of shares and the dis-application of pre-emption rights on share issues. On Monday, Prospex had announced the hiring of Mark Routh as CEO. Routh's appointment as a director is confirmed after the AGM. The board now consists of Non-Executive Chair Bill Smith, Non-Executive Director Richard Mays, and Routh.

Bankers Investment Trust PLC - aims for capital growth in excess of the FTSE World Index and annual dividend growth ahead of inflation - Hires Simon Miller as non-executive director with plans for him to succeed Sue Inglis as chair at the February 2022 AGM. Miller recently retired as chair of wealth manager Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC. He is currently chair of Blackrock North American Income Trust PLC and senior independent director of television broadcaster STV Group PLC

Palace Capital PLC - investment in regional UK commercial real estate - Chair & Co-Founder Stanley Davis to retire on October 29, having led Palace for 11 years, and a search for a successor has begun. In a strategy update, Palace says it will prioritise investment in office and industrial sectors outside of London, refurbishing assets to improve their energy efficiency. Its disposal programme has brought GBP9.4 million in property sales so far in the financial year that began April 1, and this will be continued, including the sale of apartments at Hudson Quarter in York.

JPMorgan China Growth & Income PLC - Hires May Siew Boi Tan as independent non-executive director, starting August 2. A Hong Kong resident, Tan was head of equity corporate finance at Standard Chartered Bank PLC and then CEO of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd, before retiring in 2017. Oscar Wong stands down as a director, effective immediately.

Rurelec PLC - power generator and power plants developer focused on Argentina - Hires Paul Shackleton as independent non-executive director, starting immediately. Shackleton is a corporate finance adviser and broker who was Rurelec's nominated adviser until 2017.

Amedeo Air Four Plus Ltd - seeks income and capital returns from buying, leasing and selling aircraft - Hires Steve Le Page and Mary Gavigan as independent non-executive directors, starting immediately. Le Page was senior partner of accountants PwC in the Channel Islands. He currently is a non-executive director of London-listed investment funds Highbridge Tactical Credit Fund Ltd, Volta Finance Ltd, Tufton Oceanic Assets Ltd, and Princess Private Equity Holding Ltd. Gavigan also is an accountant who worked for KPMG and held interim CFO roles.

Live Co Group PLC - Lego brick-based events and entertainment firm based in Surrey, England - Hires Stephen Birrell as independent non-executive director, starting immediately. Birrell currently is non-executive director of Ascent Resources PLC and executive director at Ossian Energy Ltd.

Ince Group PLC - London-based legal and professional services - Hires Carol Ashton and Laurence Milsted as non-executive directors, starting immediately. Ashton was international human resources director at law firm DLA Piper. Milsted was CFO of law firm Freshfields. At the same time, Peter Rogan steps down as non-executive director.

Brandshield Systems PLC - London-based cybersecurity - Hires Harel Kodesh as non-executive director, starting Tuesday and replacing Zar Amrolia. California-based Kodesh is an operating partner at private equity investor Silver Lake Partners.

BMO UK High Income Trust PLC - invests for dividend income plus prospects for capital growth - Julia Le Blan retires as non-executive director at AGM on Tuesday.

Oracle Power PLC - coal-to-power project in Pakistan and gold project in Australia - Hires Edward Mead as exploration director for its Western Australia gold projects. Mead is a geologist with 25 years experience in gold and base metals exploration, mine development and production, Oracle Power says.

Advanced Medical Solutions Group PLC - Winsford, Cheshire-based surgical and advanced wound care specialist - Hires Chris Locke into new role of chief technology officer, starting August 9. Locke joins from wound care technology firm Acelity, part of 3M Co, where he was chief innovation officer.
