Monitise Chairman acquires first round of shares

Fri, 11th Apr 2014 16:02

Monitise on Friday said that its Non-Executive Chairman, Peter Ayliffe, had acquired 250,000 shares in the payment solutions company. Ayliffe, who paid 57.13p a share and spent £142,825 altogether, was appointed to his current role in October last year, having previously been a non-executive for nearly two years. Prior to his appointment at Chairman he was President and Chief Executive of Visa Europe for seven and a half years. At its mid-year point, Monitise had narrowed losses aided by a 67% jump in the top line as demand continued to increase for its Mobile Money services. The company, which works with over 350 financial institutions to enable internet banking via tablets and mobile phones, reiterated its full-year guidance of 50% revenue growth and said it is still seeing positive momentum in the third quarter.Revenue totalled £46.5m in the six months to December 31st, up from £27.8m the year before. Meanwhile, the loss before tax fell to £23.3m from £29.7m previously, while the loss per share narrowed to 1.4p from 2.6p. This was helped by a 10 basis-point increase in the gross margin to 73%.Top Director BuysAlliance Trust (ATST) Director name: Mr Katherine Garrett-CoxAmount purchased: 42,423 @ 454.90p Value: £192,982Monitise (MONI) Director name: Mr Peter G E AyliffeAmount purchased: 250,000 @ 57.13p Value: £142,825Lookers (LOOK) Director name: Mr Nigel McMinnAmount purchased: 75,000 @ 149.00p Value: £111,750Stock Spirits Group (STCK) Director name: Mr Andrew CrippsAmount purchased: 20,000 @ 286.00p Value: £57,200Craneware (CRW) Director name: Mr Neil Philip Lanceley HeywoodAmount purchased: 9,000 @ 541.50p Value: £48,735Alliance Trust (ATST) Director name: Mr Alan TrotterAmount purchased: 6,963 @ 454.90p Value: £31,675Red Leopard Holdings (RLH) Director name: Mr John MayAmount purchased: 2,430,555 @ 0.60p Value: £14,583Red Leopard Holdings (RLH) Director name: Mr Stuart Adam Amount purchased: 2,430,555 @ 0.60p Value: £14,583Marechale Capital (MAC) Director name: Mr Mark W A Warde-NorburyAmount purchased: 681,818 @ 2.00p Value: £13,636Action Hotels (AHCG) Director name: Mr Alain DebareAmount purchased: 15,750 @ 75.25p Value: £11,852Top Director SellsJarvis Securities (JIM) Director name: Mr Andrew J GrantAmount sold: 123,500 @ 500.00p Value: £617,500Goals Soccer Centres (GOAL) Director name: Mr Morris PaytonAmount sold: 216,575 @ 230.00p Value: £498,122Carillion (CLLN) Director name: Mr Richard AdamAmount sold: 61,008 @ 375.17p Value: £228,884Carillion (CLLN) Director name: Mr Richard HowsonAmount sold: 27,058 @ 375.17p Value: £101,513Marechale Capital (MAC) Director name: Mr Jon Peter PitherAmount sold: 681,818 @ 2.00p Value: £13,636NR
