HOUSTON, April 25 (Reuters) - Motiva Enterprises plans to begin returning a 205,000 barrel per day (bpd) crudedistillation unit to production on Friday at its 600,000 bpdPort Arthur, Texas, refinery, sources familiar with refineryoperations said on Thursday.
Motiva has declined to discuss details of the restoration ofproduction at the Port Arthur refinery since an April 14 poweroutage knocked the entire refinery out of production.
If the restart of the 205,000 bpd CDU, called VPS-2, goes asexpected, then Motiva plans to return an 80,000 bpd crude unit,called VPS-2, to production early next week, the sources said. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Kenneth Barry)
