easyJet narrowed its half-year losses as the low-cost airline took initiatives to boost revenues and cut costs. Loss before tax for the six months to March 31st 2013 came to £61m, a 45.5% drop from the prior year's loss of £112m. The LSE also made strong gains after posting a seven per cent rise in pre-tax profit for the full year. Land Securities Group's annual net asset value (NAV) rose 4.1% to 959p compared to a year earlier as the property investment company signed new development lettings. Analysts at Investec had predicted NAV per share of 885p. ITV was down after giving a less-than-impressive outlook for the remainder of the year. Miners continued to suffer on weak metal prices. Leading the downside were Evraz, and Randgold Resources, as metal, silver and platinum declined 1.0%, 2.07% and 0.62%, respectively. After going ex-dividend Morrison Supermarkets, Polymetal, Sainsbury and Shell were all making significant declines.
