(ShareCast News) - Pharmaceutical manufacturer and developer Quantum Pharma has completed the acquisition of NuPharm in a deal worth up to £13.3m.The group said it will pay £9.34m in cash upon completion of the deal with up to an additional £4m potentially payable under earn-out agreements.In a statement released on Tuesday, Quantum said the acquisition of NuPharm, an outsourced manufacturer of niche pharmaceutical products, was in line with its strategy as the newly-acquired company was "a business that uniquely complements the group".In 2014, NuPharm generated revenues of £3.85m and adjusted earnings before interests, tax, depreciation and amortisation of £1.09m and Quantum expects it to be earnings enhancing from early 2016 after a period of integration, operational and quality process improvements.Quantum said the deal will be financed by a new banking facility it has secured with Royal Bank of Scotland, comprising a term loan of £25m and a revolving credit facility of £10m."The acquisition of NuPharm represents a further important and exciting milestone for the Group as it significantly accelerates its strategic growth plan, further strengthening the business for the medium and long term,Quantum shares were up 0.63% to 158.50p at 0903 BST on Tuesday.
