LONDON, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Antony Jenkins, a former chief
executive of Barclays, will serve on the Bank of England's
Prudential Regulation Committee which scrutinises banks,
insurers and investment firms, Britain's finance ministry said
on Monday.
Jenkins, who left Barclays in 2015, will take up his role as
an external member of the PRC in April.
The Treasury also announced the appointments of John Taylor,
a former executive with Standard Life and Lloyds Banking Group,
and Tanya Castell, who has held senior positions including at
Lloyds and UBS.
Taylor and Castell will start in January and September
respectively.
All three will serve three-year terms, and BoE Governor
Andrew Bailey said they "bring with them a wealth of experience
in banking and insurance."
The appointments follow the departures from the PRC of
Sandra Boss and Mark Yallop, and the approaching end of the
appointment of David Belsham in April 2021.
