(Alliance News) - Joint-venture partners Columbus Energy Resources PLC and Predator Oil & Gas Holdings PLC on Thursday said workover survey operations at two wells in a project in Trinidad have been completed.
The two oil & gas companies are developing the Inniss-Trinity carbon dioxide pilot project.
In separate announcements, the companies said workover well operations at the AT-4 and AT-13 wells have been completed, in preparation for future carbon dioxide injections to boost oil production at the project. Similar operations were completed at the AT-5X well in August.
Predator confirmed that based on the AT-13 survey results, the Herrera number 2 Sand site has been selected for carbon dioxide enhanced oil recovery operations.
Columbus Executive Chair Leo Koot said: "Columbus and Predator continue to advance the carbon dioxide pilot project. We believe the project on Inniss-Trinity will give all parties a valuable insight into an alternative enhanced oil recovery mechanism for Trinidad and has the potential to transform oil & gas operations in the Inniss-Trinity field and in similar fields in Trinidad. We look forward to working with Predator to further advance the project.
Shares in Columbus were 1.9% higher at 3.44 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon. Predator Oil & Gas was 4.4% higher at 6.89p.
