EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Prudential names board of Jackson Financial

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Friday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Prudential PLC - London-based insurer - Names board for US business Jackson Financial Inc, which become effective upon Jackson's demerger from Prudential. In addition to Non-Executive Chair Steven Kandarian and Chief Executive Officer Laura Prieskorn, who will be an executive director, Prudential named five additional independent directors. Gregory Durant is vice chair of accountants Deloitte LLP. Derek Kirkland is former managing director & co-head of the Global Financial Institutions Group at Morgan Stanley's Financial Institutions Group in Investment Banking. Martin Lippert is former head of global technology & operations at insurer MetLife Inc. Russell Noles is former chief operating officer of Nuveen, a subsidiary of Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association. Esta Stecher is chair of Goldman Sachs Bank USA, the consumer bank of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Prudential said two more independent board members will named at or following completion of the demerger, which it continues to expect to happen within the current quarter.

Burford Capital Ltd - London-based litigation finance - Hires Kenneth Brause as chief financial officer, starting on Monday and based at Burford's New York office. Brause replaces Jim Kilman, who has served since August 2019. Prior to becoming CFO, Kilman was senior advisor to Burford and will return to the role after a three-month handover. Brause was CFO of OnDeck Capital, a New York-listed specialty lender.

H&T Group PLC - Surrey, England-based pawnbroker - Richard Withers resigns as CFO, leaving on May 31, having served since February 2018. Head of Finance Tatiana Hagan will lead the finance team on an interim basis while a search is conducted for a new CFO.

Brickability Group PLC - Bracknell, Berkshire-based construction materials distributor - Confirms Interim CFO Mike Gant as permanent CFO, with Gant also joining the board. Gant joined Brickability in January, having been CFO of interior design and furnishings firm Walker Greenbank PLC, now called Sanderson Design Group PLC.

Arix Bioscience PLC - London-based investor in biotech companies - Executive Chair Naseem Amin leaves company immediately, replaced by Peregrine Moncreiffe as independent non-executive chair. Maureen O'Connell and Isaac Kohlberg are appointed as non-executive directors representing largest shareholder Acacia Research Corp, so are considered not independent. Back in March, 19% shareholder Acacia Research sent a letter calling for a shake up of the Arix executive team due to "history of governance instability". Trevor Jones won't seek re-election to the board at the AGM, which will be held by the end of June, and Axel Wieandt and James Noble will no longer be joining the board, Arix says. "Arix has had a busy year and made significant progress. We thank Naseem for his contribution having stepped in part-time to lead the business in the absence of both chairman and chief executive last year," Moncreiffe says. Adds Acacia Research CEO Clifford Press: "Since becoming a shareholder in Arix at the end of last year, we have sought to bring about a series of corporate governance improvements and ensure that the company is served by a board that is responsive to its shareholders."

TBC Bank Group PLC - financial services in Georgia and Uzbekistan - Nikoloz Enukidze, Nicholas Dominic Haag and Eric Rajendra step down from the board, replaced by three new independent non-executive directors. Eran Klein is a banker and lawyer who has worked with Commerzbank AG, Citibank - part of Citigroup Inc - ING Financial Markets - part of ING Group NV - and Deutsche Bank AG. Per Anders Fasth was a senior executive at Swedish bank SEB AB and CEO of SBAB Bank. Thymios Kyriakopoulos serves on the board of the Hellenic Corp of Assets & Participations, the Greek sovereign wealth fund.

Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust PLC - invests in portfolio of 25 to 40 sustainable growth stocks - Neil Gaskell won't stand for re-election as director at June 9 annual general meeting and will leave board on Friday. Gaskell was replaced as chair by Gillian Watson back in February.

MobilityOne Ltd - Jersey-registered, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based e-commerce payments platform - Hires Azlinda Ariffin-Boromand as independent non-executive director, effective immediately. Ariffin-Boromand is a lawyer who is a consulting partner in the corporate team at Withersworldwide.

Glenveagh Properties PLC - Dublin-based housebuilder - Hires Camilla Hughes as independent non-executive director, starting July 1. Hughes was a corporate broker within UK Investment Banking at Credit Suisse Group AG.

Lowland Investment Co PLC - Janus Henderson-managed growth and income trust investing mainly in UK equities - Hires Helena Vinnicombe as non-executive director, starting on Saturday. Vinnicombe was a senior partner at Smith & Williamson Investment Management.

Securities Trust of Scotland PLC - investment trust managed by Troy Asset Management that aims for income and capital growth from global equities - Hires Angus Cockburn as non-executive director, starting on Saturday. Cockburn was CFO of outsourcing firm Serco Group PLC until earlier this month. Before Serco, Cockburn was CFO and interim chief executive of temporary power provider Aggreko PLC.

Trackwise Designs PLC - Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire-based maker of products using printed circuit technology - Hires Steve Hudson to new position of COO. Hudson has worked for Bentley Motors, Rolls Royce Aerospace - part of Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC - and, most recently, Williams Advanced Engineering. Trackwise also says it has purchased a property in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire for GBP2.8 million, using money from its fundraise back in November. The site will be used to increase production of Trackwise's Improved Harness Technology. Also signs agreement for IHT component parts with existing customer, Stockholm-based CathPrint AB, whereby existing development revenue is expected to continue for two years before moving to larger production revenue for five years thereafter. Trackwise says it will release 2020 results in early June.

Aberdeen Diversified Income & Growth Trust PLC - invests across asset classes aiming for reliable income and growth - Hires Alistair Mackintosh as independent non-executive director, starting Saturday. Mackintosh was a partner at Actis LLP, an investor in Africa, Asia and Latin America, from its launch in 2004 until 2018, including 12 years as chief investment officer.

GlobalData PLC - London-based data analytics and consulting - Hires Julien Decot as independent non-executive director, starting Friday. Decot is senior director of marketing partnerships in EMEA at Facebook Inc.

Parkmead Group PLC - UK and Netherlands focused oil and gas - Hires Robert Finlay as independent non-executive director, starting Saturday, replacing Philip Dayer, who has served since 2010. Finlay is a director in the corporate advisory team at Shore Capital.
