The FTSE small cap index is up 0.2 percent into mid-session andjunior-listed AIM shares gain 0.3 percent, both outperforming a 0.2percent fall on the blue chips.
Shares in AIM-listed investment company Clear Leisure more than double inprice to 2.61 pence in heavy volumes after receiving a bid for itsentire holding in Italian theme park project Mediapolis.
"Generali's offer is for only one of Clear Leisure's assets, but it is wortha minimum of 3 pence per share in cash. This minimum valuation alone is 2-1/2times the company's current market valuation," Alfredo Villa, chief executiveofficer of Clear Leisure, says in a statement.
Plethora Solutions rises 4.9 percent after saying it is in dialoguewith multiple parties, including major pharmaceutical companies, for the launchof its flagship premature ejaculation treatment, PSD502, and is "committed tothe delivery of commercial value at the earliest opportunity in 2014".
