LONDON (Alliance News) - Petards Group PLC Tuesday said it has won a contract worth over GBP1.75 million to provide on-board digital CCTV systems for Electrostar trains being made by Bombardier for Southern Railway.
The company said deliveries will commence and be completed in 2014.
"We are delighted to have secured this contract and look forward to working with Bombardier to deliver a world class solution on this important project which we anticipate will make a significant contribution to our revenues in 2014," Petards Chairman Raschid Abdullah said in a statement.
"While we work closely with Bombardier on many projects it is pleasing that we are again supplying equipment onto one of their prestigious new build train programmes," it said.
Petards shares were up 30% at 13 pence early Wednesday, the biggest gain on AIM.
