LONDON (Alliance News) - PageGroup PLC on Wednesday reported growth across all its regions in the first quarter of the year with gross profit up 12%.
The FTSE 250 recruitment company reported gross profit of GBP208.8 million for the three months to March-end, up from GBP187.8 million in the comparative period a year ago.
The company achieved growth in all regions with Americas up 21%, Asia Pacific 15%, Europe Middle East and Africa up 11% and UK 1.7%.
Looking ahead, the company expects to deliver 2019 operating profit in line with consensus. Currently the market expects operating profit of GBP160.4 million for the year.
"We will continue to focus on driving profitable growth, while continuing our strategic investments towards our Vision of 10,000 headcount, GBP1 billion of gross profit and between GBP200 million and GBP250 million of operating profit," it added.
PageGroup shares were trading up 1.1% at 498.40 pence each on Wednesday morning.
