AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Rockfire Rallies As Plateau Resource Surges

Fri, 29th Jan 2021 10:35

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Friday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

Rockfire, up 31% at 1.35 pence, 12-month range 0.41p-2.39p. The gold and base metal exploration company says its wholly-owned Plateau gold deposit, Australia, has surpassed a JORC (2012) Mineral Resource of 200,000 ounces of gold. "This represents a 515% increase in gold ounces since the company's maiden JORC (2012) Mineral Resource reported previously in July 2019," Rockfire notes. Says overall gold envelope at Plateau has resulted in an indicated and inferred mineral resource of 208,278 ounces of gold and 1.5 million ounces of silver

----------

Xpediator, up 19% at 43.53p, 12-month range 13p-48p. The freight management services firm expects 2020 profit "significantly" ahead of market forecasts. Following higher than anticipated demand for its services in the UK and Europe during November and throughout December, Xpediator now expects to report adjusted pretax profit of GBP7.2 million for 2020, up 40% on 2019.

----------

OPG Power Ventures, up 12% at 16.95p, 12-month range 9p-18.9p. The Indian power plant operator expects to meet market expectations for its full-year results and show "good profitability". "This board anticipates that OPG will provide returns to the company's shareholders in near term by resuming dividend payments in accordance with the company's dividend policy based on the FY21 results," company says.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

Agriterra, down 27% at 4.46p, 12-month range 3.5p-9p. The African agricultural company reports fall in revenue to USD5.5 million for the six months to September 30 versus USD6.1 million a year ago. Pretax loss narrows, however, to USD997,000 from USD1.3 million. Agriterra notes a risk that coronavirus will start to escalate in Mozambique, which could "potentially impact the group's operations through the contraction of the economy and restrictions on movement within the country". "Currently the incidence of Covid-19 is increasing and Mozambique health care units and facilities are reported to be 90% full. All countries in Southern Africa are implementing aggressive Covid-19 preventive measures which include closing land borders in response to the new Covid-19 variants, with travel bans widespread," says Agriterra.
