(Sharecast News) - NMC Health revealed on Thursday that non-executive director that Patrick James Meade had purchased 3,640 ordinary shares in the private healthcare operator.
Meade, chairman designate of AIM-listed Angus Energy, acquired the shares on Monday at an average price of 1,378.48p each, for a total value of £50,176.72.

On 17 December 2019, short-seller Muddy Waters issued a report that called into question NMC's accounting for its debt and cash.

That was followed two days later by a Financial Times report according to which NMC had held talks to borrow $200.0m in a way that would not have shown up on its consolidated balance sheet.

NMC Health said the claims were "based on false information".

As of 1635 GMT, NMC shares were up 5.33% at 1,427p.
